🚗 Growth Hub Roadshow: Knaresborough

After the success of last year’s roadshows, the Growth Hub is hitting the road again, traveling the region to bring the best of local business support to a town near you.

Partnering with NatWest Accelerator, and joined by Business Support Advisors from North Yorkshire Council and City of York Council, the Growth Hub Roadshow is set to showcase what business support really looks like.

This roadshow focuses on Inclusive Growth, featuring NatWest Accelerator delivering guidance on Financial Foundations alongside a guest delivering an interactive activity.

 Each event will:

• Focus on a business-relevant theme.
• Showcase business support in action, with a live Q&A.
• Feature a hands-on activity to get you thinking.
• Provide opportunities to meet the team, partners and service providers.
• Give you the chance to enjoy a free lunch and meet like-minded people.

 Hotseat Challenge

We’ll be shining the spotlight on a local business, they’ll share the challenges they’re facing, giving you a behind-the-scenes look at how the team collaborates to break down the barriers holding growing businesses back.

 Financial Foundations

A practical, no‑nonsense masterclass designed to help business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs build a strong financial foundation.

Together with Scarborough Escape Rooms, we’ve created immersive leadership experiences, inspired by The Traitors, where participants discover firsthand how trust, communication and decision-making influence individual and team performance. Through engaging, facilitated experiences, we help organisations explore the behaviours that create inclusive, high performing workplaces and enable growth.

Inspired by the hit TV show The Traitors, this engaging 90 minute taster experience challenges participants to work together, solve problems and make decisions with limited information. As trust is tested and assumptions are challenged, teams experience first hand how communication, leadership and judgement shape performance under pressure.

Through facilitated reflection, participants will explore:

• How decision making changes under pressure
• Why trust and psychological safety are essential to high performing teams
• The impact of assumptions, bias and inclusion on team performance
• Leadership and communication in uncertain situations

Expect plenty of discussion, teamwork, healthy competition and a few unexpected twists.

Participants will leave with practical insights they can apply immediately to strengthen trust, communication, inclusion and collaboration within their own teams.
