📝 Description:
She Scales is a monthly female founders connection and co‑working day delivered across every Accelerator hub. It is a dedicated space for women who are building and growing businesses. The session brings people together to share experiences, exchange insight, and build community in a warm and honest environment.
This month, we’ll be hosting a female founders focus group exploring the findings from the University of York’s New Era for Female Entrepreneurship research ahead of its official launch in September.
Following extensive regional engagement, a 10-Point Action Plan has been developed to strengthen support for female entrepreneurs, focusing on:
• Improving access to finance, investment and mentorship
• Building confidence, skills and professional networks
• Creating a more connected, accessible and joined-up support ecosystem
This session is an opportunity for you to review, shape and influence how this plan is brought to life, both in York and across our wider Accelerator network. Your insights and lived experience will play a vital role in ensuring the actions drive meaningful and lasting change.
📚 What to expect:
• A relaxed and welcoming start with coffee and informal introductions
• Focused discussions grounded in real founder experiences
• Opportunity to contribute to shaping regional support for female entrepreneurs
• Time to continue conversations, spark ideas, and connect with founders who understand your journey
• Optional co‑working for the rest of the day, allowing you to stay in the hub and keep the momentum going
We really can’t wait to see you there.
