About the session
What are the methods used in valuing businesses and determining how much they are worth in monetary terms.
Understanding how much your business is worth is really important if you are looking for equity investment, or if you are looking to sell some or all of your business. You don’t want to insult a potential investor by going in too high, but equally, you want to get what your business is worth.
There are many valuation methods that can be used to come to a business valuation, but ultimately, something is worth whatever a buyer is prepared to pay for it. So, where do you start?
Being aware of your business’s value enables you to determine a fair selling price and negotiate with potential buyers.

- What are the general rules that are used in valuing businesses
- How can you maximize this value
