Stress, anxiety and depression can affect anyone, at any stage of their life or career. Delivered by Lizzie Huxford (OT4me) and Elaine Morris (Curious Edge), this practical and engaging session combines clinical expertise and leadership coaching to help you better understand common mental health challenges in the workplace. You’ll explore how stress can impact wellbeing, performance and relationships, learn to recognise early warning signs, and gain practical strategies to support both yourself and others. The session will also explore how simple, low-cost reasonable adjustments can make a significant difference in supporting wellbeing, inclusion and performance at work, while helping managers balance their own wellbeing alongside supporting their teams.

Learning outcomes:

  • Recognise early warning signs and workplace triggers for stress, anxiety and burnout.
  • Learn practical strategies to manage stress and build resilience.
  • Identify simple, low-cost reasonable adjustments that can support wellbeing and performance.
  • Gain confidence in supporting colleagues and having wellbeing conversations.
  • Understand how to look after your own wellbeing while supporting others.

*This project is supported by York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, using funding from the Department for Work and Pensions’ Get Britain Working Economic Inactivity Trailblazer.
