Every business, no matter how small, handles information worth protecting: customer names and addresses, payment details, staff records, or even the data in your email inbox.
If it can identify a person, it’s personal data. It’s valuable to you, your customers, and to cyber criminals.
Cyber-attacks and data breaches can happen to anyone. The risk increases when introducing software, processes, or products without considering the value of the information flowing through them and how to protect it.
An incident can damage your reputation, disrupt operations, and sometimes, lead to fines or legal action. Customers, partners, and regulators expect you to keep their information safe, and to prove it.
Whether you’re starting out or scaling up, Privacy Protect help you build practical, lasting compliance. From password hygiene and phishing awareness to threat detection and incident response planning, with tailored, simple, relevant, and achievable programme meets you where you are.
Over several weeks, at times to suit you (even outside 9-5), you’ll receive:
- A 90-minute diagnostic Health Check assessing your existing compliance with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and UK GDPR requirements, including any requirements for secure implementation of Artificial Intelligence, and mapping your priority areas for your objectives.
- Two 60-minute follow up sessions to cover implementation support, staff training, risk management, and business continuity aligned to your identified priority areas.
- A final 60-minute wrap-up session to review progress, conduct an impact evaluation and compile a roadmap handover, to keep you moving forward.
- Policy templates, a risk register starter kit, a business continuity checklist, and more.
If you’re ready to protect your data, Privacy Protect are ready to help.
About the Provider
Privacy Protect Group Ltd is a UK based data protection and information governance consultancy, offering advice, training, and consultancy relating data protection legal and regulatory compliance, such as the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Data Protection Act (DPA) 2018 and the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) expectations. Not getting the leads or sales you should be?
Facing challenges with your website’s performance or user journey?
Or simply annoyed that your website isn’t as good as it could be?
A usability audit helps optimise your site’s structure and enhance the user experience without the need for a full website rebuild, though if you are wanting a new website, this audit will also help.
Ideal for sole traders and SMEs with an existing website, this audit reviews up to five web pages and provides actionable recommendations which could include:
- Simplifying and reorganising content
- Enhancing the user journey
- Refining copy to make it more web and SEO friendly
- Looking at Call To Actions
- Improving or adjusting imagery
- Improving the look & feel
- Advice on hosting, social media platforms & accessibility
It provides targeted and practical advice and is structured as follows:
- Video or phone consultation to discuss your website’s challenges & get to know your business.
- Questionnaire to gather essential background on your goals, pain points, analytics & target audience.
- Audit & Feedback
Lucy will research and review up to five key pages then present tailored recommendations in one of two formats:
- A video call or an in-person meeting (York / Selby areas) to walk through findings, concerns, and I can answer questions in real time. This is my preferred method as open discussion helps address your concerns directly.
- A pre-recorded walkthrough video, featuring a screen-share demonstration and critique of your site. This recording is a useful future reference and can be shared with colleagues.
If opting for an online option, you will also receive a choice of an extra – for example:
- A set of simple wireframes for reference showing how to structure your pages for better user journey
- A social media or graphics review, with tips to make your visuals more consistent and professional
After implementing the recommended changes, your website will be easier for users to navigate, allowing customers to quickly find what they need. As a result, you should expect an increase in enquiries or sales.

About the Provider
Jane Dreaper, Dalemoor Ltd, is a seasoned health journalist and change leader who spent over a decade reporting for BBC News, including on the Covid pandemic. Her deep understanding of NHS politics and global health informed her transition into media strategy, where she led Lean change initiatives and became a qualified Change Management Practitioner. She has guided leadership teams through complex challenges and now works as an Executive Coach, helping others find clarity and direction.
Inefficient processes, unnecessary hires to patch over gaps and hours wasted on monotonous copy and paste tasks, these are the hidden costs of bad data.
When information is fragmented across systems, teams lose clarity on performance, decisions get made on gut feel rather than facts, morale drops as staff are stuck in repetitive work, and costs rise while productivity stalls. Businesses face greater risk and slower response times when circumstances change, leaving them less resilient and less competitive.
All of these issues are symptoms of poor data management. To solve them, the York & North Yorkshire Growth Hub, in partnership with Data Stream UK, is offering a practical six-week support programme to help businesses take control of their data.
Our structured journey tackles issues step by step:
- We begin by meeting with you to understand your business, people and systems. We look at how everything currently fits together and where the biggest challenges lie.
- Our team connects your systems into a single source of truth, pulling together data from across the business to give one consistent, reliable view.
- We review your data for irregularities, duplications and invalid values that limit reporting. You’ll gain clear visibility of where problems exist and how to address them.
- With clean, connected data, we show you how it can be analysed to deliver critical business feedback across sales, marketing, operations, finance and beyond.
- We help you bring your data to life with engaging, interactive dashboards that encourage buy-in across the organisation.
Through this structured transformation, you’ll:
- Discover how your systems, people, and processes fit together
- Connect your data into a single source of truth
- Clean and fix irregular, duplicated or invalid data
- Analyse performance across sales, marketing, finance, operations, and more
- Visualise your data in clear, interactive dashboards that drive buy-in across the organisation
Most importantly, you’ll walk away with complete clarity on your business performance and a strong foundation for the future, ready to take advantage of modern technologies such as AI to unlock even greater efficiency and growth.
About the provider
Data Stream was born out of a profound understanding of the challenges facing businesses in today’s data-driven landscape. They witnessed first hand how companies struggled to navigate the complexities of emerging technologies while grappling with legacy software and a shortage of internal data expertise. It became evident that there was a need for a partner who could bridge the gap between the data-driven future and the present state of businesses. Their mission is to empower businesses with data-driven solutions tailored to their unique objectives.
Most small businesses are sitting on a goldmine of data without realising it.
Whether you already have a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system in place or you’ve never quite got round to it, this new digital voucher programme is designed to help you turn what you already collect in terms of data into growth.
Phil will work with you, one to one for up to 10 hours, helping you build or improve your CRM capacity, strengthen your digital safety and put automation in place that frees up time while boosting your visibility, leads and sales.
This is not theory or a workshop, it’s practical, implementable, bespoke advice.
Recent UK studies show that businesses using CRM systems effectively can see sales increase by more than 30% and productivity jump by over 25%.
Yet many small businesses never get beyond scratching the surface of what their data can do, even though every business regardless of size is collecting and collating data every day.
This changes that.
Through this support we will help you:
- Make sense of the data you already have
- Build simple systems that actually get used
- Automate repetitive tasks to save time and reduce costs
- Turn insights into action improving your marketing, resilience and sales
- Utilise any systems you already have in place
- Suggest new systems, only if you need them and it will add to your bottom line.
Designed for every level and every capacity, this is implementable and impactful support to unlock the opportunities hidden inside your business.
If you want your business to grow and grow in a way that’s built on evidence, not guesswork, this voucher scheme is for you.
