January-March 2024: Harrogate & Ripon Peer-to-Peer programme (fully subscribed)

Business leaders are invited to attend small groups that are carefully selected to be the best possible combination of experience, sector collaboration and chemistry!

All applicants will be interviewed in advance of the group composition to establish the most useful combination of delegates. Previous cohorts have had 100% attendance and there has been consistently positive feedback on the benefits of gaining insight, developing ideas, troubleshooting, creating beneficial business networks and making new allies who continue to offer support long after the course has finished.

We are delighted to confirm that following a successful period of delivery in 2023, Next Step will be delivering a further three cohorts starting in January 2024.

This peer-to-peer support programme runs weekly for six weeks and comprises three cohorts, based in either Harrogate or Ripon.

In addition, there is one hour of 1:1 discussion in advance of the course to assess your business’s needs and two hours of 1:1 bespoke support, timetabled at your convenience.

About the Peer-to-Peer Programme

This peer-to-peer programme is fully funded by the York and North Yorkshire Growth Hub through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.  All you need to commit is your time to the sessions.  It is important that you attend them all to create maximum benefit.  This support offer is currently only available to businesses located in North Yorkshire Council, and therefore is not open to businesses located in City of York Council area.

About the Facilitators

Steve Bolton (Next Step) has a track record of excellent business support.  From 2017 – 2021 Steve was a Project Manager for the Strategic Business Growth programme for Leeds City Region LEP that supported the creation of 273 FTEs across 45 Small and Medium Sized Enterprises. 

Jane Aksut co-established the KMLD (Kirkby Malzeard, Laverton and Dallowgill) Business and Community Group (not-for-profit volunteer group) and has been working on several projects to support Ripon’s growing business community to enhance the area as a destination.
