Manager Skills & Understanding Your Teams – Skipton

This funded session will explore key management skills and learning how to build, motivate and lead high-performing teams.

The Get Britain Working Economic Inactivity Trailblazer is a government-funded programme designed to help people who are currently out of work, particularly those facing health, skills, confidence, or other barriers to employment. It is funded through the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and delivered by York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority.

This training is designed to help create a more inclusive workplace by increasing awareness, building understanding, and equipping colleagues with the knowledge and skills needed to support a culture where everyone feels valued, respected, and able to thrive.

The session will cover:

Managers Skills Sessions

Delivered by North Yorkshire Council’s HR Advisory Team, these sessions will focus on best practice and key legislative guidance covering the following 3 topics:

  • Managing Attendance
  • Resolving Issues at Work
  • Managing Probation

Understanding Your Teams

Transforming a team from being a group of individuals who happen to work together into a cohesive, high performing unit is a challenge all managers face. Looking at team dynamics, motivation and engagement, this session considers how you can build a high performing team.
