October 7 | 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM

This funded session will explore personal resilience, wellbeing and mental health in the workplace.

The Get Britain Working Economic Inactivity Trailblazer is a government-funded programme designed to help people who are currently out of work, particularly those facing health, skills, confidence, or other barriers to employment. It is funded through the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and delivered by York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority.

This training is designed to help create a more inclusive workplace by increasing awareness, building understanding, and equipping colleagues with the knowledge and skills needed to support a culture where everyone feels valued, respected, and able to thrive.

The session will cover:

  • Personal Resilience and Wellbeing – This training aims to build on delegates understanding of resilience and how this can influence our health and wellbeing. We will discuss the importance of positive mindset and share strategies for relaxation and good self-care. Following the training delegates will be set a list of resources and supporting information.
  • Talking about Mental Health – This training will provide attendees with the opportunity to explore the signs to look out for when identifying mental ill health. They will also consider how they might approach and respond to someone needing support. There will be signposting to helpful websites and resources.
