Webinar: Vibrant and Sustainable High Streets Fund – Using Data to Support your Application

3 Jul 2025

Data plays an important role throughout a project; from the building of a business case and writing compelling grant funding applications, through to implementation and evaluation.

This session is designed to offer an oversight into the value of data and how it can be used to bring success to your project. This can be through helping to communicate the need for your project, understanding the outputs and outcomes of your proposals and ensuring you are on track to achieve these outputs and outcomes throughout the course of the project.

This webinar will be delivered by York BID.

York BID is leading on the development of a new Data Intelligence Hub for York city centre. This initiative will consolidate data from a range of trusted sources into a concise monthly Economic Insights Report, designed to be shared with local businesses and strategic partners.

The core aims of the Hub are threefold:

  • To equip the local business community with actionable, data-driven insights;
  • To strengthen alignment and communication around York’s evolving economic narrative; and
  • To provide a robust evidence base to assess economic performance and evaluate the impact of city centre initiatives and events.

This session is for anyone who is interested in

  • Using data to unlock funding and deliver impactful projects
  • Identifying robust data sources for your project
  • Using data to monitor progress and evaluate success of a project

This session will have a specific focus on the application process for the Vibrant and Sustainable High Streets Fund but will also be useful as a CPD session for anyone who has an interest in applying for any grant funding programme.
