Meet the business in the hotseat

In the hotseat, Charlotte Walsh, founder of The Silicone Straw Company is joining the panel with some interesting challenges in the finale of the Growth Hub Roadshow event series. Charlotte’s mission was to create a convenient alternative to single-use plastic straws, utilising beautifully simple design and highest quality materials manufactured in the UK. The Silicone Straw Company has done just that, selling direct to consumer, as well as wholesale customers such as the National Trust and Oxfam. Charlotte has built the business to a global leader in sustainable products and wants to challenge the panel to help her grow even more.

As Senior Business Advisor for Skipton and Ripon, Michaela’s primary role is to promote and support business growth and the economic potential of North Yorkshire. Michaela takes the lead responsibility for delivering a bespoke one-to-one business engagement and support service to the businesses of the Skipton and Ripon constituency.
