Are you thinking of starting your own business, or looking for help to grow your business? Call in to our drop-in mornings hosted at Harrogate Co-Lab and meet the business support specialists from the Growth Manager team and York & North Yorkshire Growth Hub.

Our friendly and knowledgeable local team understand the challenges and questions that arise when starting or growing a business and our goal is to assist you by discussing your business plans and connecting you with relevant resources.

Business Essentials Workshop – 10am – 11am

During the morning you will also have the opportunity to attend this free workshop with Jo Tomlinson from Business Works, an award winning and forward thinking accountancy practice.

When you are starting out in business there are so many questions, so may options, it’s hard to know which way to turn.  In this session Jo will touch on the main questions new business owners ask.

1. Should I be a sole trader or limited company
2. Do I need to register for VAT?
3. How much should I charge for my goods or services?
4. What records do I need to keep?
5. Should I employ people and what are my responsibilities if I do
6. How do I know if I am doing well?
