Ecommerce Launchpad – Launch an Ecommerce website over 2 days
Day 1: One of the biggest blocks to grassroots entrepreneurs when they first tackle building their website is the overload of simultaneously learning the website builder whilst also crafting content, descriptions, finding or producing digital media. Before we start building anything at the launchpad – we first gather and test all the essential parts of our rocket. Sounds simple, because we make sure it is.
Day 2: Having gathered all our parts, it’s time to head out to the launchpad and get this rocket built and ready to launch. It’s an exciting day packed with potential, but our focus is firmly rooted in getting our core life support systems up and running. Home page, check. Contact us, check. Product, check. Payment system, check. Notifications are go, domain is go. Houston we have “lift off!”

Ooooh Shiny Rockets: Before we start building our own ecommerce rockets, we kick off our hackathon with some inspiration of exploring what you do and don’t like about other websites.
Core Structure: We take a look at the core framework of an ecommerce website, from your web address through to stock management – we’ll compare Wix and Shopify so you can select the best one for you – as well as comparing them to the alternatives Squarespace, WordPress, etc.

We start our 14-days countdown clock to our launch day. We explain the support and guidance you’ll get to help you get ready.
Each day will be led by Laura and Richard from Enterprise Cube and feature;
- JACK BARBER – Founder – Hello Technology
For over 15 years Jack’s designed websites, built IT systems and tech solutions for a range of organisations in North Yorkshire. Working extensively with established SMEs on e-commerce, SEO, and web development projects in the Whitby area.
As a full-stack developer Jack joins the team as our resident expert on SEO and coding of bespoke WordPress, ecommerce and automation solutions. - ANJA RICHARDS – Founder – Notch Media
Anja, is founder of Notch Media, a Scarborough based web design and branding company that’s worked with numerous start-ups to launch their ecommerce offers. Anja also runs her own successful ecommerce side-hustle offering creative products and artwork, across multiple platforms.
A Wix Partner Creator she’s also an expert in Adobe CC, Canva and Shopify. Anja joins the team as our lead on creative design and ecommerce for start-ups. - TOBIE ABEL – Founder – ATS York
Tobie has over 20yrs experience of leading large digital transformation projects for IBM, LLoyds and various other multi-nationals particularly within the Salesforce ecosystems. Tobie launched ATS York this year to offer a range of AI training solutions, to a broad spectrum of teams across North Yorkshire and the UK.
A leading expert in Salesforce and CRM integration, he joins our delivery team as our resident CRM, AI and automation wizard.
Event Details
Both days will be held at Patch, York, with workshops from 10am to 4pm, welcome coffee’s from 9:30am.
You will need to bring your own laptop or tablet to work on.
