🌍Introduction to Coaching: How coaching can help your team grow

January 19 | 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Coaching is a safe, supportive and confidential conversation that encourages reflection, growth and action. It’s built on the belief that each person has the capability to enhance their own performance by unlocking their potential and developing their own solutions.

Coaching has huge benefits – 80% of people who have been coached report increased self-confidence and over 70% say they benefited from improved work performance, relationships and more effective communication skills.

This session is offered as part of the Get Britain Working Trailblazer project in partnership with York and North Yorkshire Combined Mayoral Authority.

About this session

This session will introduce coaching and will explore the benefits of using it to help your team grow by strengthening individual performance and fostering a more engaged, motivated and resilient team.
We’ll explore the benefits of using coaching in place of a more directive or instructional approach as well as:
  • when a coaching approach could help you and your team
  • a handy tool to get started with coaching conversations
  • practicing listening and questioning techniques
  • the opportunity to have a go yourself in a safe environment
This session will provide an overview of coaching as a practice, designed to spark new perspectives on leading your team and giving you the tools and to create more meaningful, empowering interactions with your employees.
