Gain the knowledge and skills you need to take meaningful climate action within your business and beyond, through Carbon Literacy training and hands-on activities within the stunning Swinton Estate.
Hosted at Swinton Estate, this unique programme will explore the science behind climate change, its global and local impacts, climate justice, and actionable strategies to reduce your carbon footprint.
Delivered by Groundwork Greater Manchester‘s team of nature specialists, you’ll receive Carbon Literacy Training, and engage in practical activities that restore and protect the natural environment, while exploring how nature-based solutions are essential to addressing the climate crisis.
Upon completion, you will be certified Carbon Literate by the Carbon Literacy Trust.
The programme will provide you with an awareness of:
- The science behind climate change
- The impacts of climate change globally & locally
- Current climate policy: international, national & local
- Climate justice
- Company environmental plans/policy
- Positive climate actions in the workplace and at home
We encourage you to make the most of this experience by signing up with a colleague, sustainability works best when shared, and it’s always nice to have someone familiar to make events feel more approachable.

Funding
We’re pleased to inform you that this programme is 50% funded by the UK Government through the Shared Prosperity Fund, as allocated by North Yorkshire Council. This funding makes the programme even more accessible, allowing you to gain valuable skills and insights at a reduced cost.
With 50% funding, this programme is now £150pp.
