SUMMARY:Webinar Series: How to Run a Pop-Up
DESCRIPTION:If you’ve ever wanted to run or host a pop-up\, we’re here to help you make it happen.   \n\n\n\nFrom pop-up department stores to kitchen takeovers\, cool things are popping up and popping off everywhere. In this exciting project\, you’ll get to meet some of the teams behind these pop-ups and get their top tips for running a great pop-up. \n\n\n\nOur three action-packed workshops will cover everything from the creative to the legal elements of a great pop-up project. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWith phase three of the Vibrant and Sustainable High Street Fund launching in Autumn 2025\, there has never been a better time to explore running a pop-up project in York and North Yorkshire. \n\n\n\nYou can also access one-to-one support to help you find\, explore or design your own pop-up projects or bids. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Art of the Pop is supported by David Skaith\, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire\, and funded by the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n~\n\n\n\nSession 1: Wednesday 22 October\, 1pm – 2:30pm \n\n\n\nPOP ART: INSPIRATION | TYPES OF POP-UPS \n\n\n\nWe draw inspiration from across the world\, looking at the incredible diversity in pop-up projects. Amongst others\, we’ll look at cool kitchen takeovers\, pop-up art galleries\, food halls\, markets\, events\, experiences\, repair shops\, department stores\, and retail outlets. \n\n\n\nREADY TO POP: IDENTIFYING DEMAND \n\n\n\nWhat creates a pop? A myriad of motivations propel different partners to make pop-ups happen. These range from commercial marketing objectives to community cohesion\, to risk and tax avoidance\, and everything in between!   We look at the demand drivers behind pop-ups from the communities\, the activators (project teams) and space owners (landlords\, councils). We’ll explore each perspective to provide the tools to identify potential pop-up opportunities. \n\n\n\n~\n\n\n\nSession 2: Wednesday 29 October\, 1pm – 2:30pm\n\n\n\nPOP THE QUESTION: FINDING & NEGOTIATING SPACES \n\n\n\nWe look at how to find locations\, reach landlords and the right way to sell the potential benefits to landlords and stakeholders. For landlords we’ll look at ways to find pop-up businesses and projects for your vacant spaces. We’ll look at key terms and the typical clauses in meanwhile and alternative leases. \n\n\n\nPOP\, CRACKLE\, SNAP: CRITICAL LEGAL\, PLANNING AND SAFETY \n\n\n\nWe might want to cook\, perform\, sell\, serve alcohol or even party in our pop-up spaces. We discuss the key considerations\, ensuring your pop-up operates safely and legally. We aim at more than remaining permissible\, to create a project everyone will love! \n\n\n\n~\n\n\n\nSession 3: Wednesday 5 November\, 1pm – 2:30pm \n\n\n\nPOP WITH A BANG: MAXIMISING IMPACT OF YOUR POP-UP \n\n\n\nPop-ups by nature are temporary. Their fleeting nature changes the ‘rules of the game’ a lot! We first explore the pop-up objectives and then look at how the space agreements affect other aspects of the project from fit-out to marketing. \n\n\n\nPOPPING OFF: EXITING WELL. \n\n\n\nWhether you’re running a pop-up event\, have secured a fixed period or get that 48hr notice to vacate… every pop-up must pop-off. We share tips and strategies to help manage your exit\, smoothly and efficiently\, maximising future possibilities. \n\n\n\n~\n\n\n\nThe Art of the Pop: Advice Support\n\n\n\nOne-to-one project support: Our one-to-one advice sessions are intended to be highly reactive to the needs of your project. Whether you need a sounding board for your ideas\, to deep-dive on specific topics or want project or bid reviews – we’re here to help. \n\n\n\nThese one-to-one sessions are only open to businesses and community groups within York & North Yorkshire. Each participant has an initial allowance of up to three hours of one-to-one support. \n\n\n\n~\n\n\n\nAbout the provider\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis project is being delivered by Enterprise CUBE CIC\, a team of entrepreneurs who love starting their own businesses and pop-up projects just as much as they love helping others to do it for themselves. They’ve run several pop-ups – including cafes\, department stores and co-working spaces but they are best known locally for their StriveLive Virtual Start-up Incubators. \n\n\n\nEvent details:\n\n\n\nThis is a three part series\, simply complete the form once and get access to all three webinars. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nSession 1: Wednesday 22 October\, 1pm – 2:30pm \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSession 2: Wednesday 29 October\, 1pm – 2:30pm\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSession 3: Wednesday 5 November\, 1pm – 2:30pm \n\n\n\n\n\n\n📸 These sessions are recorded. \n\n\n\nRegister now

SUMMARY:Steps into Digital: Basic Data Literacy Skills
DESCRIPTION:🟢 First step into digital \n\n\n\nThis webinar is part of Data Analytics for Smarter Decisions\, a nine part online workshop series designed to help businesses at every stage of their data journey\, from those just starting out to those ready to explore artificial intelligence and compliance.
